The Legacy of Chord Advisors

C2 Partners builds upon the legacy of Chord Advisors, a specialized accounting advisory firm founded by Dave Horin in 2012. In 2014, Sam Lynn joined the firm, helping drive its growth into a leading provider of financial reporting, technical accounting, SEC reporting, IPO readiness, and transaction advisory services.

Growth and Leadership

By August 2021, Chord had grown to approximately 30 professionals serving nearly 500 clients across a diverse range of industries. From 2013 through 2021, Chord also provided financial reporting, accounting advisory, and IPO readiness services to more than 350 Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs), establishing itself as one of the most experienced advisors in the SPAC market.

Acquisition and Transition

In August 2021, Chord was acquired by WilliamsMarston LLC. In August 2022, WilliamsMarston received a strategic investment from funds managed by Kelso & Company, one of the oldest and most established private equity firms in North America. In April 2023 Dave Horin, Sam Lynn and many former Chord professionals departed the organization.

Founded in 2026, C2 Partners reunites senior professionals from the former Chord Advisors team to deliver high-quality financial accounting, SEC reporting, SPAC reporting, and transaction support services.
